We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests and team members. The Seraya is working to ensure that we meet the latest requirements on rigorous hygiene and cleaning standards throughout all areas of the hotel. Our health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and include everything from hand washing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to guest room and common area cleaning procedures.
Specific steps The Seraya is taking include:
Pre-arrival communication:
The Seraya will ensure you are well informed about your stay prior to your arrival, technologies are used to give reassurance and distancing options.
All questions, excursions, activities, specialty dinner arrangements, special needs and/or request can be taken care of before arrival, limiting unnecessary encounters.
Arrivals:
Guests who require airport pickup service are met at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo by a The Seraya representative and escorted to their private vehicle. The vehicle is thoroughly sanitised before and after every trip. Luggage will be handled as minimally as possible and sanitised prior to loading into the vehicle. Our trusted driver will be wearing a face mask.
Island transfer boat will be thoroughly sanitised before and after trips.
After arrival at The Seraya, guest’s luggage is sanitised thoroughly.
Hand sanitiser dispensers will be available to all guests' throughout the check in process: in the airport pickup vehicle, island transfer boat, jetty entrance and all public areas (i.e. lobby, reception, restaurant, bar).
Room Check-In and Check-Out:
All surfaces at reception are sanitised before and after arrivals have checked in.
Hand sanitisers are available at Reception area.
Room keys are being sanitised prior to being given to guests.
Face masks are being worn by all front-line team members.
Social distancing is being followed by each team member when in direct contact with guests.
Public areas/equipment:
Informative signage will be presented to reassure our guests of our efforts and also to remind them to practice good hygiene and social distancing.
All equipment shared by guests (e.g. masks and snorkels) are thoroughly sanitised between uses.
Housekeeping Services:
High touch areas such as AC remotes, doors, safety box, light switches are sanitised thoroughly.
Bungalow doors and windows are always open during room cleaning.
Bathroom seals to demonstrate to guests that no one has accessed the room subsequent to it being cleaned.
Welcome letter in the room listing all the enhanced hygiene and cleanliness measures that are in place at The Seraya.
Bungalows are cleaned using strict cleaning procedures to ensure your safety. Staff will enter the rooms twice a day, morning make up and evening turndown, for thorough cleaning.
Dining and food handling:
Personal protection equipment is worn by all team members who handle food and beverages.
Social distancing protocol is in place between guests, culinary and waiting staff.
Restaurant seating plan offers ample space between the dining tables.
Restaurant menus, bill folders are sanitised prior to being given to guests.
The Seraya team:
Regular training sessions on housekeeping and hygiene protocols are provided.
In our daily meetings, our teams are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act of hygiene such as hand washing. It is important for the team’s health and that of our guests.
All team members are completing enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.
